Windows 10: more overview on the taskbar


Windows automatically grouped by default several program instances in your system tray to an entry. This provides for much multitasking but only for a better overview.

In Windows, multiple instances of a program are automatically added together to a grouping in the taskbar. This is to ensure particularly when many open tools for more overview. Who but primarily works with multiple instances of a single tool, which is much better served by a separate representation.

Customize the taskbar grouping function
By right clicking on a free area on the taskbar appears on the context menu for the properties of the taskbar. There, you can set in the drop-down menu at the entry of the desired functioning taskbar buttons in the taskbar tab. The choices are always group, hide caption, grouping, when the taskbar is full or never group.
For these options simply click right click in a blank area of the taskbar and open the properties of the taskbar

For most users the choice will group when the taskbar is full most useful, because here the caption of each instance of the program is maintained and is automatically grouped too many entries.
Confirm the new selection with a click on the button apply.
